Amy Morley is our Head Coach with Erin Halbasch and Brady Day as Assistants. They are so excited to get started on a great Volleyball Season!
A little more about our Head Coach Morley: "I've been coaching volleyball for the last 20 years, including various years of club, middle school, and high school volleyball. I love coaching and I love volleyball!
I grew up here in Kaysville and went to Davis High. I played sports at Davis and then was able to play volleyball at Weber State University for 4 years, where I graduated in English and Art Teaching. I am a teacher at Davis High, and this is my 14th year teaching.
In my spare time I enjoy playing volleyball, doing art, and being outside--hiking, working in my yard, and spending time with my family. I am married and have three awesome kiddos. I also love music and a diet coke! I am happy to be here and am excited to begin a new year with you all!"

A note from our Student Body President: I" think having one lunch would be a great way to bring our whole school together. Instead of being split into two groups, everyone would get the chance to eat with more friends, meet new people, and be part of the same school experience. It would also make school spirit activities and announcements more fun because everyone could be involved at the same time. I think one lunch could help make our school feel more connected as a community."

Tryouts for our Thunder Volleyball team are Aug 13th from 11am to 1pm and Aug 14th from 3pm to 5pm

Join Davis Reads 45 this summer! Students are challenged to read for 45 days, earning prizes every 5 days and a special end-of-summer event for those who complete the challenge. Pick up books during summer library hours. Families should check with their local elementary school for specific days and times. Regular summer reading helps prevent learning loss and supports continued academic growth. Contact your school or library to get started!

Thunder co-ed volleyball camp is July 27th-30th
1 to 3pm for incoming 8th - 9th grade students
3:30-5pm for incoming 5th - 7th grade students
In the Centennial Gym - must fill out registration form to participate (link in bio and on newsletter on the school website)
Fee - $75 for full camp or $15 per day. $15 for t-shirt (if not attending full camp)

The students in Spanish 3 classes enjoyed celebrating, the Puerto Rican culture, with food presentations.
